I am always on the lookout for ideas that will help “lighten the load” in my laundry room. I sometimes get frustrated trying to figure out the best way to care for our clothes: hot/cold; permanent press; low heat/high heat/no heat, etc. And how in the world am I supposed to convert the Celsius temperature on the tag to Fahrenheit? I’m not in math class; I’m doing the laundry!!
The fabric care tags on clothes are designed to ensure that each fabric is taken care of properly. Unfortunately, you practically need a Ph.D. to interpret the fabric care symbols. Since I don’t have a Ph.D. in laundry technique, I taped a cheat sheet inside a cabinet door above my washing machine that shows the symbols and what they mean. This has also been a big help to 8 year old Bookworm who has laundry duty twice a week.
You can print out a chart of your own here.
