Are you familiar with tangelos? Having grown up in Florida, I’ve eaten my fair share of them.
Tangelos are a deliciously juicy combination of the grapefruit and the tangerine. Tangelos taste like a tangerine, are easy to peel, and don’t have seeds.
This basket of tangelos made a bright addition to my back porch. ?If the weather would warm up a little bit, I would be able to sit on the porch and enjoy looking at them. Maybe I will just eat one instead before the kids gobble them up.
I had never heard of them, but they look delicious!
Mmmmm….we LOVE tangelos at our house! And i swear, between them and the fresh grapefruit I consume every morning between November and April (the best times to get it up here in NY in the grocery stores) i don’t get colds, flu, etc. I made it through the entire winter without a major illness (just one sore throat that went away after using Throat Coat Tea). YAY for citrus!! love how you brought some sunshine to your bowl 🙂 (ps I saw your comment on the FFF about driving…keep in mind that Claire is my SECOND (and last) child to drive……i was much more nervous with my oldest. LOL)
I LOVE tangelos. I just finished the last one in the house so it’s time to go get more. Your photo is gorgeous!

I am a Florida girl and my grandma had trees of citrus growing outside of her home. We would go out each day and pick enough for the day. Nothing like freshly picked tangelos, oranges, grapefruit. I miss that!
