Weekly Photo Challenge: Nighttime
Our area is becoming a popular spot for stargazing because its nighttime sky is one of the darkest regions in the Eastern United States. Recently a group of amateur astronomers spent several nights at the local park exploring the sky. They were gracious enough to allow us to look through their massive telescopes. Hope is our family’s science buff, and she thoroughly enjoyed her first attempt at stargazing through the lens.
Very cool! Bet I know what’s on her Christmas list! ๐
She was just as impressed with their laser light pointers that reach over 30 miles. It looked like the light emitted was touching the stars and planets.
Heh…that would’ve impressed me too! ๐
My dad is a huge astronomy fan; I remember looking through our telescope while we were growing up. Fun to see the beauty of God’s creation. ๐ I’m glad your girl is enjoying the night sky.
