Hello, Friends! I’m sitting on the couch, enjoying the warmth of the fireplace while drinking an invigorating cup of DD coffee. Such a wonderful way to kick off a Monday morning!
?
The last couple of weeks had my head spinning a little bit. We had company Thanksgiving week, and then last week the kids’ basketball season officially started with games and practices every day. Add an extra evening of choir practice and and another for our ladies’ Christmas party to the mix, and I was away from home every night last week. Saturday was piano lesson day for the girls, and that takes up a good five hours of the day due to the long drive. Steven offered to take the girls for me so that I could get the Christmas decorations up. Have I mentioned lately how wonderful he is? I was able to get so much accomplished, and with the tree up I officially feel like the Christmas season has arrived. Yesterday we had great services at church, along with a few visitors. I’m refreshed and ready for another busy week.

Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. ~ Matthew 11:28
What a beautiful fireplace! Isn’t it fun to choose a spot for the tree in a new house? ๐ It’s gorgeous. And you are drinking coffee now? I’ll have to share my favorite brands with you. ๐
We only got the tree up this weekend, too, but I’m hoping to get some of the rest of it out today and tomorrow.
I’m also pretty impressed there are WRAPPED presents under that tree!!! I haven’t even contemplated the wrapping yet! ๐
I am definitely enjoying the fireplace! I’ve been a one-cup-a-day coffee girl for years now, but I’ve turned into a two-cup girl up here in WV. I’m not into fancy flavors. I prefer the Dunkin’ Donuts brand with a dash of French vanilla creamer. Let me know what your favorite is.
Those gifts you see under the tree are empty boxes from previous years that I’m using for decoration. There is one gift behind the tree that someone from church gave me yesterday. Everything else under there is just for looks. I haven’t started shopping yet. You’re not as far behind me as you thought!! ๐
I loved getting a peek at your new home! It’s so nice to be able to sit and enjoy the fire AND the lights on the tree. You and I are both blessed with very special and caring hubbies. Hope you can keep getting little bits of time with your coffee and a fire through the holiday season.

Thanks for stopping by, Adrienne. I’m praying for you!
Beautiful tree! Happy Monday!
Thanks, Shari! I hope you have a fsbulous week! ๐
The home looks festive . The tree is beautiful . God bless
Beautiful tree! I have recently become a 2 cup a day girl as well!
There’s just something about chilly mornings that makes me crave that extra cup.
Lovely tree!
Thank you, Valerie!
Paula, Thank you for your nice comment. I too have enjoyed getting to “know” you via blogging and seeing your lovely family grow. Your tree and fireplace are gorgeous!! Ah…and that Scripture..it is just what my heart needed this morning. It is my 55th birthday and I”m missing my mom who is at the feet of Jesus…. and I”m feeling a bit overwhelmed with some situations in my extended family….some aging issues with my dad….some soul issues with my inlaws….sigh…. not to mention all the holiday busyness….I am so glad I had a 2 hour delay so I could sit and browse some fave blogs! Because I saw this Scripture and I REALLY needed it. Thank you dear sister in Christ.
