Outside my window…the sky is overcast and there are puddles on the ground.
I am thinking…today is the day to tackle the mess in the laundry room.
I am thankful for…rain, rain, and more rain! After months of drought-like conditions it’s rained almost daily for the past week. Temps are back down in the 80’s.
From the learning rooms…trying to decide what to work on with Lil’ Nut over the summer. I can’t believe she’ll be starting kindergarten this fall.
From the kitchen…turkey burgers and a big garden salad.
I am wearing…a denim skirt and a bright floral shirt.
I am creating…a list for graduation cards and gifts. I hope the budget can handle the month of May!
I am reading…in my Bible: II Samuel and Mark; just for fun: Child of the Mist by Kathleen Morgan.
I am hoping…that I can stay focused on the household tasks that need to be completed today.
I am hearing…Toby snoring at my feet.
Around the house…vacuuming, dusting, laundry, ironing, and rotating the clothes in the kids’ rooms.
One of my favorite things…the smell of rain.
A few plans for the rest of the week…lessons with Lil’ Nut, piano lessons, a trip to the library, visit the vegetable market, and work on several projects around the house.
Here is picture thought I am sharing…
Isn’t this rain wonderful?? I have to admit though, when I woke this morning to the sound of rain for the third day in a row, I did not want to get out of bed.
We even turned off the air conditioner and opened the windows yesterday. It is so refreshing! Enjoy!
We’ve had quite a bit of rain around here as well. Our garden is doing wonderfully because of it. Praise the Lord!!
Love the pic of your Zinnia. And I am laughing at the way your wrote temps are down in the 80’s. ours are finally up in the low 70’s and we are praying it hits 80 for Sat and Mon for Memorial Day weekend when we want to hike and kayak!! the week until then looks good here…temps in 70’s and low 80’s, sunny and I have busy-ness with the house, work, and girls’ school events but come Sat….KAYAKING!!! (Lord willing!). enjoy your week
Thank you for posting that photo with the name! I have had them in my yard, and used them for last week’s Daybook photo thought, but I didn’t know what they were called. (blushing)
