I found CD’s, two wallets that I haven’t used in a while, empty jewelry tins, a cell phone charger, photos, and a ton of receipts. One of the receipts was from our first trip to Wal-Mart when we moved into this house 18 months ago. Time to throw it out!
I did a thorough purge and realized none of those things needed to go back into the drawer. Hmmm, so, what should go into the drawer? I decided to put my everyday jewelry in it. It’s so much faster to just reach in the drawer and grab what I need instead of getting out my jewelry box (which is kept on a shelf far away from little hands) where I keep my “good” jewelry. I placed a piece of non-slip fabric in each basket to keep everything in its place. Here’s how the drawer looks now.
One of the boxes was just the perfect size to keep the little girls’ jewelry in. That works much better than them keeping it in their rooms.:)

Wow, that is awesome – what a neat idea!
Great job! I love using those little baskets in my drawers too.
Have a great Tuesday!
I am inspired! I have several “junk” drawers and I desperately need to work on them. Thank you for sharing your before and after photos!
Oooh, that looks great! I’m inspired too!
Blessings~
That’s a great idea! This would work really well for my necklaces. Thanks!
What a cute idea, “tackle it Tuesday”!
Very Nice Tackle! It looks so neat and organized. I bet it’s more convenient for you too.
Wow, you really did organize, didn’t you? 🙂 Love those containers!!

Beautiful! I love that you can see everything at a glance.
Great tackle!
Looks super! Great job!
Great tackle! That will hopefully be me by the end of the day! Woo! Nice job!
Such a smart idea with the non-skid material in the baskets! Knowing me I would forget that part and the first time I opened the drawer everything would go FLYING!! LOL Great Job
Aaahh, the junk drawer. Right. Congrats on yours. I really need to get started on mine. I have a sneaking suspicion that I don’t need almost everything in there. I just can’t throw it away.
I’m impressed over the fact that none of the earlier things got back in the drawer. And how the result came out. Really neat!
What a great idea! It looks great.
Ah, the “dreaded” junk drawer! We ALL have them:) Yours turned out not only looking great but also being very functional! BTW, on a personal note, I want to send my most heartfelt thanks to you for your lovely note. It meant so much to me.
Oh how cute! Now I really want some of those baskets! Great job! Thanks for stopping by.
Soooo much better. Great use of those handy containers. Thanks for sharing!
Great use of the containers! =)
Hello! I never get tired of looking at before and after pictures! Oh and how I love to find another container junkie friend!
Great job!

I like your solution, and doesn’t it feel good to get a whole drawer cleaned out and find a whole new use for it!
What a great idea Mrs C. Your drawer looks very organised.
Oh I like this idea for the jewelry. I would never have thought of it! Looks so nice. Great job!
Thanks for stopping by yesterday! Hope your Wednesday is wonderful!
That’s wonderful! At first I was thinking the jewelry would slide around when you opened and closed the drawer until you mentioned the non-slip fabric. That was a stroke of genius! 🙂
I didn’t get my tackle finished and posted until yesterday evening.
