This week is flying by! Last night we finished up our Bible conference at church. If I’m counting right, I think we heard 17 messages over the last four days from Bro. Larry Brown, Bro. Dennis Corle, Bro. Jeff Fugate, Bro. Sam Gipp, Bro. Lonnie Mattingly, Bro. Brian McBride, Bro. Bryan Sharp, and Bro. Rick Sowell. I am thankful that my schedule allowed me to attend the daytime services. If I were working outside the home, I would have missed out on some blessings! The Lord laid some things on my heart that I plan to continue to ponder and study over.
Since I’ve spent so much time away from home the last few days, today there is quite a bit of catching up to do. I’ve kept up with the daily essentials, but several projects that I had started earlier this week never got finished. I’m hoping that everything will be caught up by tomorrow afternoon. If not, that’s okay. Having a housekeeping routine allows time for regrouping. There are no deadlines to meet. Slow and steady applies to our housework, too. After all my bragging last week about our warm January weather, this morning I woke up to a very cold house. After turning on the heat and slipping on some cozy socks I headed downstairs to prepare breakfast. I selected the biggest grapefruit in the fruit basket and thoroughly enjoyed it.
After breakfast it was time to tackle a few loads of laundry. My wonderful husband bought me a brand new washer and dryer set a few months back. They are front-loaders, and I love them! The clothes come out cleaner and dry so much faster.
Enjoy the rest of your day! 🙂
Could I have your recipe for the potato soup? Or, could you just make some and drop it by? No? Well, didn’t hurt to ask. 🙂 Really, it looks delish! I’d love to get the recipe!
So glad your conference went well! Praise the Lord! Enjoy your weekend!
I enjoyed this glimpse into your week and day. The Lord is wonderful when He blesses us with excellent preaching!
Those grapefruit are gorgeous.
Yesterday at my local grocery store, I bought 3 jumbo ruby red grapefruit. Here in the Albany NY area they are selling for $1.25 EACH….you are truly blessed! When they are on sale they are $.99 each. THe white grapefruit were $.99 each yesterday but were the size like the ones in your bag. But…I am thankful I can fit them into my budget…I love a good fresh grapefruit!
What a wonderful conference. I have heard some of those men preach. What a blessing. Thank you for sharing
the rest of your day. Could I have the recipe for those yeast rolls?
They look delicious!-mrs. m.
Sounds like a great conference! We’ve had Bro. Bipp preach every year at our summer Camp Meetings except this past summer when he had his surgery. It sounds like the surgery was very successful. We are sure looking forward to having him back!
Speaking of your homemaking routine, I’ve been using the Motivated Moms printouts and I LOVE them! I enjoy so much have everything already planned out for me, and if I have anything extra I need to do, or juggle the jobs around a bit, it’s so easy to write it down right on the sheets. Thanks for mentioning it!
Sounds like a great conference!–You got to hear some of my favorite preachers. (o:
Hello. I just discovered your blog today and I love it! I added your address to my favorite blogs. I too am a pastors wife and a homeschool mother. My homeschool journey is at it’s end. My son is in the 10th grade. What to do when my journey has ended!
And I love Florida!!! We live in Mississippi, this is home to me, but we have visited Florida twice and I adore the orange and palm trees, and of course, the sun!
Keep rambling, cause I sure enjoy your posts! God Bless You and Yours. http://www.lifebygeorge.blogspot.com
