A few weeks ago, we had the opportunity to travel with friends to the Eastern Panhandle of the state in search of fall foliage. We visited Smoke Hole Caverns and Seneca Rocks. We had such a blast! In fact, the kids all said that they had more fun than they do at Disney World.
The day was rainy and overcast, but that didn't keep us from hiking up Seneca Rocks. I'm the only member of our family who didn't climb all the way to the tippy-top. I stopped just a few yards from peak, and that was plenty high enough for me. Here are just a few of the 200+ pictures from our hike. I will share more soon.

Beautiful!!! I’m with you about staying a wee bit away from the very tippy-top-edge. {Shudder} 😛
Thanks for sharing,

Beautiful! And you don’t have to go to the top to see the beauty below you. Thanks for sharing your part of the world with us.

Hi Paula! I was thinking about you because I made your potato soup recipe for supper last night – we love it! I thought I’d look you up, and I see I’ve been missing out on a lot. My husband said you have moved to West Virginia? I think he heard that somewhere. Lol! Anyway, we used to live in Barbour County! It’s so beautiful there. It’s good to catch up with you again. 🙂 Love the photos!
