Like many of you, we are hunkered down awaiting the arrival Winter Storm Jonas. This is only our second winter in the North, and while we saw a lot of snow last winter, we didn’t experience a major storm like this one. We have about an inch and a half of snow left on the ground from the last couple of days. The snow is supposed to start here within the hour.
We are forecast to receive up to two feet of snow here over the next 24 hours. I stocked up on groceries yesterday, and the generator is ready to go if (when) we lose power. I’m going to do some baking this morning and put on a big pot of vegetable soup. If you are in the path of the storm, I hope that you stay safe and warm!
Hope you all stay safe and warm! We lived near Elkins for a year. Our oldest was born in Clarksburg.
Another thing we have in common! 🙂
Praying for your safety through the storm!

You stay safe and warm. I didn’t realize that the weather people were now naming winter storms. They’re already up to J,? Where have I been?
This is our first winter storm and the first time I’ve heard one names. I’m very familiar with named tropical storms and hurricanes though. I guess you get quite a bit of snow in your part of the country.
We’ve gotten maybe 3 inches of snow this year so far… I guess you guys are getting all of it! Sounds as if you had a good plan and really prepared for just about every possibility! :~) Stay safe and warm, and have fun building a snowman! ;~)
