It is the summer’s great last heat,
It is the fall’s first chill: They meet.

The calendar says it’s officially fall, but you wouldn’t know it by looking at the thermometer. We won’t see much of a change in the weather here in Florida for at least another month. It’s hard to wait for cooler, breezy days. In the meantime, I’ve set out my fall decorations and try to keep a yummy-smelling candle lit. It can at least seem like fall inside the house.
well we are thoroughly enjoying the start of autumn up here in New York State. here in the Albany area, we are starting to see a few leaves turn golden yellow and bright red but there is more striking foliage already up i the mountains and to the east of us in the Berkshires of MA. Our nights have been chilly although I haven’t turned the heat on yet…..and our days are just sunny, bright blue skies and in the high 60s and low 70s. it’s supposed to be a sunny, dry and warm week with cooler temps in evenings. MY FAVE!!!!!
Ugh…I’m jealous!
LOL…well WE will be jealous of YOU come January!!! ๐
oops…i forgot to say i LOVE this corner of your house!!!!!! I wanna curl up in that chair with my coffee and my book ๐
It’s actually the foyer just inside our front door.
Love your Fall décor! I think we skipped Autumn and jumped right into Winter here in my part of Oregon. Lots of rain and storms – but I’ve heard that Autumn weather is just around the corner.

I love the decor — I hope it will help welcome fall just a little sooner in your neck of the woods! :o) We have had some gorgeous fall days in our area, but I’m afraid winter might come sooner than I’m hoping, so I’m sure that will even things out. ๐
