I’m not a fast food junkie, but I do enjoy me some fresh fries now and then. I got hooked on Checkers fries when I was pregnant with Mickey. There was a Checkers drive-thru near my doctor’s office, and I somehow seemed to end up in that drive-thru after each appointment. It was one of the those pregnancy craving things.
I haven’t had any Checkers fries in a long time (I’m more of a McD’s girl now), but look what I found at the grocery store this week:
They’re not quite as good as I remember. I don’t know if that’s because I baked them or because I’m more calorie-conscious now. The kids loved them, and they were definitely worth the $2.50 I paid for the bag–much cheaper than going through the drive-thru!
HOW ARE YOU LIKING ‘UNTIL WE REACH HOME’? I LOVED IT, BUT IT MADE ME TIRED TO READ IT! HA. IT WAS ALWAYS ‘SOMETHING’!
HAPPY WED. TO YA.
yummy 🙂
I’ve never had checker’s fries. Now I’m curious! 😉
I’m glad you were able to find something to satisfy that old craving — isn’t it funny how tastes change over the years, though? There are a lot of things I used to love, love, love (or absolutely thought were gross) and now things are completely opposite for me.
