1. We’ve had some much-needed rain due to tropical storm Andrea but, thankfully, no wind damage.
2. School’s out for the summer!! We’ve let the kids be night owls and sleep in as late as they want the last couple of days, but come Monday that’s going to change.
3. We took the kids bowling to celebrate the last day of school. The bowling alley is running specials throughout the summer. It’s a great indoor activity to beat the summer heat.
4. Our neighbor went blueberry picking at a farm down the road and shared a huge container of blueberries with us. The berries are a little bit tart, but still sweet enough to enjoy.
5. While cleaning out one of my cluttered desk drawers, I stumbled upon a forgotten department store gift card. It had just enough credit left on it to buy Case a new package of underwear. (Yes, he actually gets excited about new socks and underwear.) Don’t you just love unexpected blessings?
You can link up and share your favorites from the week here.
Alaina is graduating tomorrow. I can’t believe how your kids have grown, either. Enjoy your summer with them!
It sure goes fast.
Hi, my friend –
There is much to be thankful for. Lots of blessings coming your way. And mine, too!

Unexpected blessings are indeed wonderful. And I still get excited about new underwear and socks!
Bowling sounds like the perfect summer activity. I will have to see about going with my nieces this summer.
Hurray for vacation and shared berries.
I hope you all have a great weekend.
surprise blessings are the best!!! Yay for your kids being on summer vacation….we still have 9 days left of school…but my youngest gal only has 5 days of classes and then just 2 days of exams……we are soooo ready for summer!! I LOVE blueberries…tart or not 🙂 Enjoy your weekend!
An unexpected gift card find always makes me happy! Loved bowling with the kids when they were young. So much fun.
I love those forgotten and then found gift cards! It’s like getting a new present all over again.
Hurray for summer break! Enjoy each day!
Oooh, I LOVE to find forgotten gift cards!
We love blueberries, too.
Thanks for visiting my blog!
What a great way to beat summer heat! I like this fun idea 🙂 Freshly picked blueberries sound heavenly.
