The picture above was taken on Mr. C’s 1st birthday. Today he celebrated his 34th. This year he didn’t wear the traditional party hat; he sported some of his new hunting gear instead.
I fixed a special birthday meal with some of Mr. C’s favorites: chilled shrimp with cocktail sauce, chicken cordon bleu, rice, corn with butter sauce, cheddar biscuits, and coconut cake. I used this cake recipe that Kelli shared a while back.
Tonight just before bedtime, Curly Girl remembered that Daddy hadn’t had his birthday spanking yet. So, being the good daddy that he is, Mr. C dutifully took a beating from the kids. They loved every second of it.
I’m so thankful to be married to this wonderful man! 🙂
