You never know what to expect when a full-size Bluebird bus pulls up in the driveway. Thankfully, we were ready for this one. Monday night we welcomed a few of the teens from church to our house and hosted the “main course” of their Christmas progressive dinner. The weather was just perfect for a big pot of chili. I used a new-to-me recipe and was pleased with the result. The kids gobbled it up.It wasn’t long before everyone loaded back on the bus and headed to their final destination of the evening–and dessert! I’m thankful for our great group of teens and the faithful adults that work with them.
There’s nothing like having a group of young people who have the same thing in common – their love for Jesus! I’ve always loved progressive dinners, especially when I was a teen.
Merry Christmas to you and your dear family. ~Adrienne~
We used to do progressive dinners in our Sunday School class. We ended the night one year with dessert and had 60 people in our home! How neat to begin this with the teens! I hope you and your family have a blessed and Merry Christmas! Hugs, Karen
