This week has been flying by for me. We’re halfway through our VBS, and each night so far has been such a blessing! We have a wonderful group of kids this year, and they’ve been having a blast.
Yesterday I was able to enjoy our flower garden for a little while. It’s been several weeks since I took the time to just sit on the swing and enjoy the view. Our pond is looking a bit green, which means the filter needs to be cleaned. Yuck! I coudn’t even see any of our Koi. I’ll spare you any pictures of its current condition. ๐
I haven’t had a chance to look up this butterfly, so if you know what it is, let me know.
Two baby tomatoes; I hope these survive! So far the deer have stayed out of the garden, but one jump over the fence and these will be gone!
Today I’m going to spend some time with a couple of friends that are in town helping with our VBS. We’re going to go to a “big city” and do some fun girlie things–like shop! In just a few short days I’ll be back in our homeschool classroom again starting another school year, so I’m looking forward to one last day of fun before the work begins.
I hope you all have a wonderful day!
A shopping trip sounds fun.
Have you thought about a motion light that pops on if a deer were to jump the fence?
~Kristi
That is a butterfly I have never seen. Very beautiful.
How wonderful to have such a beautiful place to sit and reflect. I’m glad VBS is going well, and quickly, too!
I hope you all enjoy your girl’s day of fun!
We’re gearing up for our new homeschool year, as well.
Kristi,
We do have a motion light in the flower garden, but I’m not sure that will help much in the daytime. ๐
Karen,
Hope all is going well with your school preparation.
Blessings,
Mrs. C
Oooh, you have koi, Mrs. C?! How very international of you guys! ๐ One reason I enjoy the oriental/asian decor/style so much is their emphasis on how beautiful nature is. (Although, I lived in Japan for 12 years, so I might be biased, hehehe). The only problem is that many take it too far and worship the creation instead of the Creator! (how did I get off on that? LOL! All that to say, you have a lovely garden! :~)
I’m so glad that your VBS is going well, how wonderful for the children!
Your baby tomatoes are so cute, I hope they grow nice and big!
