I thought that I would spend just an hour or two there and then head home. Ha, ha, ha! That’s what I get for thinking! I didn’t get home until close to 5:00. I ended up visiting several stores and also squeezed in a trip to the wholesale club to stock up on things we were running low on. Needless to say, I didn’t feel much like cleaning when I got home. 🙂
All of the other Christmas decorations have been packed away, too. I’m going to miss these guys the most.
This evening we went to the 50th birthday celebration of a special lady in our church. She was born with a very rare disease and is also mildly mentally retarded. The life expectancy for those with her disease is only 20 years, so her parents and family wanted to give her a surprise party and thank God for giving her 50 years. It thrilled my heart to see the outpouring of love from her family.
I have one more load of laundry to put in the dryer tonight, and I also need to finish up my Sunday school lesson for tomorrow. I’ll be back here again on Monday, Lord-willing. One of my goals for 2010 is to post more regularly on the blog. 🙂
