If you’ve ever visited Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort in Orlando, you’ve probably drooled over the ornate Italian marble floors and Victorian-era architectural details throughout the hotel. I’ve never actually stayed at the hotel as a guest, but Steven and I once spent an afternoon there visiting some friends and enjoyed pretending that we could afford such opulence. Good memories! For this week’s challenge, I’m sharing a photo of one of the stained glass domes in the hotel’s lobby that I took with an iPhone 4 during that visit a few years ago.
This trio of Dots Pyrex bowls is one of my favorites in my vintage Pyrex collection. I’m still on the lookout for the largest bowl to complete the set: the illusive green dots 404.
Do you have somewhere you go to unwind? This is one of my favorite spots, a place I can go to think, pray, and reflect on God’s goodness to me. There’s just something about the quiet of God’s creation that helps me get a right perspective.
My kids are wild about Vans® sneakers. Shay’s grandma got her this pair.
Are you familiar with tangelos? Having grown up in Florida, I’ve eaten my fair share of them.
Tangelos are a deliciously juicy combination of the grapefruit and the tangerine. Tangelos taste like a tangerine, are easy to peel, and don’t have seeds.
This basket of tangelos made a bright addition to my back porch. If the weather would warm up a little bit, I would be able to sit on the porch and enjoy looking at them. Maybe I will just eat one instead before the kids gobble them up.
